Wondering What Will Happen To Cody Posey...
Hey guys! I'm hanging out watching Court TV.. I've been following this Cody Posey case.. The jury in deliberations right now. Poor kid.. Cattle prodded, hit, abused for so long. It's a wonder he didn't snap sooner! I think the toughest thing for the defense though, is the fact that he killed his step-sister too. But, I'm sure he just went off.. She was there, and she was part of his problem in his mind. This kid is 16.. He was 14 when the murders happened.. Damn! So young...
This morning, I watched "The Slave Narratives" on HBO.. It's the one narrated by Whoopie and Jasmine Guy, Ossie Davis and others.. So touching and educational..
The fact that their journals survived is awesome....We actually have the opportunity to learn first hand what the institution of slavery did to us not only as a country, but as human beings..

Anyway guys.. I'm gonna go surfing for a while, and wait for this verdict. Hopefully it will come down today..

pbs is running some great shows on this month..watched one where they traced the family roots for oprah, woopie, etc..really interesting..i love pbs
